Privacy Policy

Who we are

LifeLately is a personal memory service. You capture moments — notes, photos, thoughts — and we help you privately reflect on them or share them with the people you choose. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account info: your name, username, email address, and (if you opt in) mobile phone number.
• Your content: moments, journal entries, photos, drafts, loops, groups, recipients, and tags you create.
• Inbound captures: emails you send to your capture address and SMS messages you send to our LifeLately number.
• Usage data: basic product analytics (page views, feature use) via PostHog to help us improve the product. We do not sell or share this data.

How we use it

• To run your account and store your moments.
• To generate loop drafts using AI models (currently Anthropic Claude). Your content is sent to the model only to produce your draft; it is not used to train third-party models.
• To send transactional emails (loop drafts, confirmations, account alerts) and SMS confirmations when you opt in.
• To deliver loops to the recipients you explicitly add to a group and send to.

What we share

We do not sell your data. We never share your private moments, drafts, or journal entries with anyone. We share content only when you take an explicit action:

• When you send a loop, its contents go to the recipients of that group (and nobody else).
• We use a small set of service providers to operate the product: Lovable Cloud / Supabase (database + auth), Anthropic (AI drafts), Postmark (email delivery), Twilio (SMS), and PostHog (product analytics). Each one only receives the data it needs to do its job.

Private vs. shareable moments

Moments you mark as private (or capture with private: or journal:) are never included in loops or shared groups. They live in your account for you alone.

SMS

If you opt in to SMS capture, your mobile number is stored only to route inbound texts from your phone to your account. Mobile information and phone numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Data retention and deletion

Your content stays in your account until you delete it. You can delete any moment, loop, group, or recipient from inside the app at any time. To export all of your data or delete your account entirely, email support@lifelately.app and we will handle it within a few business days.

Security

Data is stored encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is gated by row-level security so only you can read your own moments. We follow standard practices for credential rotation and least-privilege access for our service providers.

Children

LifeLately is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove the account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
